Available Lines

One Frame Instead of Several

A combo unit assembles fixed and operable windows into a single precision frame, fabricated and finished as one piece, rather than setting separate units side by side and relying on the wall to align them.

The difference shows up in three places. You get more glass, because two adjacent units each carry their own jamb while a combo shares one. You get straighter sightlines, because the alignment is set in our shop rather than on site. And you get one continuous thermal line instead of a joint between assemblies where the installer has to make up the difference.

Typical Configurations

The common pattern is a large fixed lite carrying the view, with operable units placed where they do not interrupt it: casements at the sides, or an awning or hopper band above or below.

From there it scales — stacked bands on a double-height wall, a horizontal run across a kitchen, a corner assembly where two planes meet. Because the whole unit is engineered as one, the divisions land where the drawing says they should.

What to Coordinate Early

A combo unit arrives as a single assembly, so its overall dimensions and weight are a delivery and installation question, not just a fabrication one. Large assemblies need their rough opening, structural support and site access resolved on the drawings. The earlier we see them, the fewer surprises.

Sightlines, Glass and Finish

Steel carries roughly three times the tensile strength of aluminum, which is what keeps mullions slim across a wide assembly instead of thickening toward the middle. Profiles can be as slim as 1 inch. See the comparison.

Review glass options; where Title 24 requires it, specify the thermally broken ECO-SKY line, with NFRC ratings and labels for submittal. Every unit is hot-dip galvanized as standard and powder coated in the full RAL palette. See finish options.

Send us the elevation and we will lay out the unit.
